I went to the zoo yesterday quite spontaneously. I hadn’t been in years. Sadly, many of the animals were not out and about so I will definitely be returning soon. My favorite though, was a baby orangutan named Kalie. She was very interactive with us and began to play catch with one of her toys. She would pull the rope through the cage, swing it around on her hand and then launch it to us to catch. She would wait patiently with her arm stretched out towards us ready to catch the rope in return. I was too busy playing to get photos or a video of it! What a fool I am! LOL! It was an incredible experience!! Eventually a few zoo workers came over to see what was going on…boo. It does however, break my heart that she is in a cage.
